2018年1月17日早晨，以广州五月文化为主办方，在广州大剧院内的施坦威钢琴演奏厅，展开了一场格外有意义的中西音乐文化交流。

On the morning of January 17, 2018, sponsoring by the Guangzhou MAY CULTURE & ART Co., LTD, there holds an extraordinarily meaningful cultural exchange between Chinese and western music inside the Steinway piano performance hall of the Guangzhou Opera House.

柔软的阳光轻抚着大地，在施坦威钢琴演奏展厅中一片琴声悠悠，歌声飘扬，这是伟大的钢琴家Ivan Yanakov与音乐剧艺术家陈美在进行西方钢琴与东方民谣的艺术对话。

The sun is shining bright, and the beautiful sound of a piano and singing fills the hall. Here, the great pianist named Ivan Yanakov and musical artist May Chan, are in an artistic communication between western piano culture and eastern ballads. 

两位艺术家就中西音乐文化的异同进行了深入的探讨，努力摸索更有魅力的音乐表现力，尤其在中国民谣的基础上，如何做到与西方音乐文化更完美的结合。

The two artists discuss deeply about the similarities and differences between Chinese and western music culture, trying to discover a more attractive musical expressiveness, especially on the basis of Chinese folk songs, to mix with the western music culture in a perfect way.

经过一轮高峰论坛后，两位艺术家借此契机为陈美的音乐作品《借一片云彩》录制MV，由华播资讯负责拍摄，这是一场视觉与听觉的盛宴。

After their summit forum, two artists take the opportunity to record an MV for one of May's music works, LOVE Through The Cloud, filmed by HUABO NEWS, which is a feast of vision and hearing.

[伊万.雅纳科夫 Ivan yanakov]

伊万.雅纳科夫是一位世界著名的钢琴家和指挥家，他出生在保加利亚首都索菲亚的一个音乐世家，曾在许多国际钢琴大赛上获奖。

Born in a musical family in Sofia, Bulgaria, Ivan Yanakov is a famous pianist and conductor. He has won countless awards in many international piano competitions. 

他有着长达十年的室内乐演奏及钢琴独奏会的经历，于世界各国进行钢琴演奏及教学超过20年。

He had at least a decade of chamber music and piano recital, as well as more than 20 years of piano playing and teaching worldwide.

“电视台和音乐节的常客”

雅纳科夫在亚洲、欧洲及北美等地都成功举办过演奏会，其中在意大利便举办了超过150场的音乐会，在法国、日本、保加利亚、澳大利亚都成功举行过个人音乐会。

Mr. Yanakov has held numerous concerts in Asia, Europe, North America, etc. Among them, more than 150 concerts were held in Italy. His individual concerts have been held in France, Japan, Bulgaria and Australia. 

他的演奏会现场被许多地方权威电台转播，并被电视台录制，随后他多次受邀出席北美及欧洲的电视及广播节目。

The lives of his concerts were televised by many authoritative radio stations and recorded by TV stations. Then, he was invited to attend TV and radio programs of North America and Europe many times.

雅纳科夫也曾与欧洲及亚洲的交响乐团合作演出，包括伦敦爱乐乐团。他也曾两度与捷克国家交响乐团合作。

Mr. Yanakov also performed with many orchestras who come from Europe and Asia, including London Philharmonic. And he made his conducting with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra twice.

雅纳科夫也是国际音乐节的常客，时常作为评委在欧洲及亚洲的各大音乐比赛中出现。

Mr. Yanakov is a frequent guest of international music festivals. He regularly adjudicates piano competitions throughout Asia and Europe.

除此之外，雅纳科夫也是美国加州Irine Chamber音乐节及意大利Siena Belcanto音乐节的联合创始人及艺术指导。

What’s more, Mr. Yanakov was the co-founder of the Irvine Chamber Music Festival in California and of the Siena Belcanto Festival in Italy, where he also served as Artistic Director. 

他频繁受邀于土耳其、中国、韩国等的高校中开展大师班，也曾受朗朗邀请到郎朗音乐世界开展大师课。

He is often invited to give master classes at major universities in Turkey, China, Korea and so on, and was also invited by Lang Lang to his music world to carry out master classes. 

在2016年的音乐季中，他带领在伦敦创立的室内乐演奏家乐团在亚洲、欧洲等地开展高规格的演奏盛会，获得了公众和业内人士的极大赞赏。

In the 2016 music season, he conducted the London Chamber Players to carry out high standard performance events in Asia, Europe and other places, which gained him great admiration from the public and professionals.

陈美，音乐剧制作人，广州五月文化艺术有限公司CEO。

As a musical producer, May Chan is the CEO of Guangzhou MAY CULTURE & ART Co., LTD.

她是香港国际音乐家协会音乐剧组秘书长，多年来一直与世界各地的艺术家们共事，进行艺术交流。

She is the Secretary General of the musicals group of the Hong Kong International Musicians Association. She has been working with artists from all over the world for many years of art exchange. 

陈美致力于推动音乐剧文化的传播，醉心音乐剧的创作，并为音乐剧教育倾注了大量的时间及精力。

May Chan is committed to promoting the spread of musical culture. She has devoted a lot of time and energy to the production and education of musical drama.

“从小接受音乐的熏陶”

陈美从小就在音乐舞蹈艺术院校接受系统的专业训练，直到大学毕业。

May Chan received professional training at music and dance art schools until she graduated from college. 

基础扎实的她为了更高的艺术追求选择了深造，不断参加国际游学。

With a solid foundation, she chose her advanced study for higher artistic pursuit and continued to participate in international travel. 

她曾于北京舞蹈学院、中央戏剧学院进修音乐剧艺术教育与戏剧表演，随后师从海外的英皇钢琴艺术家Robert Langston及英皇歌唱家Stewart Kempster。

She studied for musical art education and drama performance at Beijing Dance Academy and Central Academy of Drama. Then she studied under the Royal pianist Robert Langston and the Royal singer Stewart Kempster.

她扎根于艺术的土壤，为钻研音乐剧奠定了夯实的基础。

She was rooted in the soil of art and laid a rammed foundation for the study of musicals. 

基于对音乐剧创作与教育的深研，她在2016年成功导演了音乐剧《新冰雪奇缘》、《新白雪公主》，在中山纪念堂演出后获得巨大反响和好评！

With the musical creation and education based on deep research, in 2016, she successfully directed the musicals New Frozen and New Snow White, gaining immense popularity and praise after the show in SunYat-sen Memorial Hall!

她通过开展各种专题讲座和茶话会，如2017年5月的“在安利遇见音乐剧”活动，让许多人与音乐剧艺术邂逅，给人们带来了别样的幸福。

She carried out various seminars and the tea parties, such as "Meeting the Musical in the Anli Square" in May 2017, letting a lot of people meet with the musical art, bringing happiness to them.

音乐剧文化是陈美的心之所向，虽一往无前......

1月17日早晨，在录制开始前，陈美与老朋友伊万在演奏展厅的钢琴前相谈甚欢，这是他们在研究歌曲的细节，雅纳科夫时而随意弹奏一段给陈美试唱，时而对着乐谱指点涂改，陈美也在快速调整嗓音以达到最理想的状态，力求录制时做到极致完美。

On the morning of January 17th, before recording, May Chan is talking with her dear friend Ivan in the hall, discussing the details on the songs. Mr. Yanakov plays a section for May, sometimes modifying the music. May is also adjusting her voice to achieve her ideal state and strive to achieve perfection in the following recording.

MV录制开始，由陈美演唱中国书画大家韦艺和作词的民谣《借一片云彩》，伊万.雅纳科夫作钢琴伴奏。

Then we begin to record MV for the folk song named LOVE Through The Cloud, written by the great Chinese artist Yihe Wei, sung by May Chan under the accompaniment of the piano played by Ivan Yanakov.

随着琴声悠悠奏响，纸上黑色的音符皆化作灵动的音乐充盈了展厅，而当陈美清脆如夜莺的歌声响起时，仿佛空气的律动都停滞了，时间变得很缓慢，万物都在聆听；

When the music starts, black paper notes are turned into beautiful music filled the hall. When May’s clear voice sounds, like a nightingale, as if the air is stagnant, and time becomes very slow, everything is listening quietly. 

唱至副歌，陈美一个高亢嘹亮的高音，配上雅纳科夫奏出的铿锵琴音，仿佛云彩拨开，月光照在身着素色衣裙的她身上，美不胜收。整个拍摄过程下来，歌唱者与演奏者心有灵犀，配合默契，乐声丝丝入扣。

When singing a chorus, May’s voice is loud and clear, and Ivan’s music is wonderful, as if the clouds parted, the moonlight shone on May dressed in white. During the recording, May and Mr. Yanakov cooperate so well that the music is amazing.

录制结束后，两位艺术家接受了华播资讯的独家专访，记者就中西音乐艺术文化和音乐剧文化采访了两位艺术家。

After the record, the two artists receive an interview from HUABO NEWS about Chinese and western music culture and musical culture.

采访中，两人表示这是一次愉快且有意义的合作，他们进行过很多专业的探讨，互相了解地方民谣，从碰撞中产生出灵感火花。

In the interview, they both agree that it is a pleasant and meaningful cooperation. They have done many professional discussions, and they learned each other's folk ballads, and produced sparks of inspiration from the collision. 

“《夜空中最亮的星——造梦》”

最近陈美的原创音乐剧新作《夜空中最亮的星——造梦》也在紧张筹划中，雅那科夫表示十分期待她的作品，并对她在剧目里担任制作人，作词作曲，表演创编，还当演员表示称赞。

Recently, May's original musical works, The Brightest Star in the NightSky—Making Dreams, is in the planning. Mr. Yanakov says he is looking forward to her work. May served as producer, writer, actress as well as singer, which gains her Ivan’s admiration. 

他认为陈美非常有创意，也很有勇气。伊万是这么说的：“她知道如何将舞蹈和音乐结合在一起，她既是作品的妈妈又是爸爸，她是她作品的全部。”伊万表示会一直支持陈美去完成这部音乐剧。

Thinking May is very creative and courageous, Ivan says "she knows how to combine dance with music, she is not only mom and Dad, she is all of her works." Ivan says he would always support May to finish the musical.

[音乐无国界]

所谓“音乐无国界”，音乐不仅是文化的重要内容，也是国家、民族之间交流的共同语言。

Music is international language without borders. Music is not only an important content of culture, but also a common language for communication between countries and nationalities.

在民谣的社会功能上讲，虽然风格不同、表达方式各异，但没有比民谣更能直观形象地展现出人民的生活状态与国家的文化底蕴。

In terms of social functions of ballads, though they have different styles and different ways of expression, there is no more intuitive and visual representation of the people's life and the cultural heritage of the country than the ballads.

伊万.雅纳科夫与陈美的大胆尝试，将创新民谣的演绎方式，使其焕发出更大的魅力，从而挖掘出中西音乐艺术文化的合作的可能性，推动中西音乐文化的交融发展。

Ivan and May’s bold attempt will create a more charming way of deducing the folk ballads, thus excavating the possibility of cooperation between Chinese and western music culture, and promoting the blending development of it.
